Summary
Travel through a diverse
and fascinating corner of the world, from Mumbai’s bustling
streets to the charming former Portuguese trading centre of Goa and
the emerald landscapes of Mangalore.
A two-day exploration of Kochi (Cochin) reveals a mélange of
international influences and we board local houseboats for a cruise
through Kochi’s backwaters. In Trivandrum we visit the village
of Pongumoode and its surrounding rubber plantations and enjoy a traditional
martial
arts demonstration. A different world awaits in Sri Lanka where we
visit an elephant orphanage, and the World Heritage sites of the Temple
of the Tooth and the port of Galle. Spend three magical days in the
Maldives where we snorkel and dive amid large pelagic fish and stunning
coral gardens.
