On this voyage we explore the rivers of South America—the Amazon, Suriname, and Essequibo. On Zodiac excursions and walks ashore we search the waters and lush vegetation for macaws, monkeys, pink river dolphins, and the rest of these rivers’ abundant wildlife. Landings at isolated villages present us with a glimpse into the lives of Amazonian Indians and other native people. Among the many thrills on this voyage is the chartered flight into the heart of wild Guyana to view Kaieteur Falls, nearly five times the height of Niagara Falls.
